RTU3000C – Datalogger for static and mobile applications

The Simatic RTU3000C is a device provided by Siemens to meet the needs of data acquisition and control of geographically distributed remote stations (hereinafter referred to as outstations or RTUs).

The Simatic RTU3031C has an integrated GPS function to collect the actual location of the device. Therefore the RTU3031C is suitable not only for static station applications such as monitoring of distributed measuring points in the water industry, but also for mobile applications.

Specifically, these include location monitoring applications for transport vehicles, container tracking, and floating navigation signs. In addition, the GPS antenna equipped on the RTU provides time and location synchronization via GPS signals. From there, users can monitor process data such as liquid levels, pump flows, as well as pressure and temperature at remote and mobile measuring points.
